The team at Virtual Cantina bring good news as another guest is announced. Lauren Vogt is coming to Boonta Eve Special Edition San Francisco: Creators of the Star Wars Universe for her very first convention appearance on 1st August 2024 at Ireland’s 32 3920 Geary Blvd, San Francisco, CA 94118.

The Virtual Cantina Network, owners of the World’s Largest Star Wars Celebration Fan Page, proud to announce Lauren Vogt will be making her first appearance at Boonta Eve Special Edition San Francisco: Creators of the Star Wars Universe on 1 August, 2024 at Ireland’s 32 in San Francisco, CA.

An artist with Industrial, Light, & Magic (ILM) since the 1980s, Lauren has worked on some of the most innovative and creative movies of all time. Within the Star Wars realm, Lauren worked on the Prequels, having done character make up to Aalya Secura and Senator Orn Free Ta as well as scenic painting of various models including Padme’s apartment. Other notable properties Lauren lent her talents to include “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade”, “Ghostbusters 2”, “The Mummy/Mummy Returns”, “Pirates of the Caribbean 1 & 2”, “Nightmare Before Christmas” and the fabrication and puppeteting of the Dancing Chest Alien from Mel Brooks’ “Spaceballs”.

This event is in conjunction with the VCN’s Family Vacation last week July, 2024 starting from Los Angeles, going to Anaheim, then ending in San Francisco with a photo at the infamous Yoda Statue at LucasFilm.
