Star Wars live music has never been so readily available, with A New Hope playing live across the UK, John Williams coming to the Royal Albert Hall later this year and now the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO) go out on tour to play music from the saga over three nights in three venues.

Kicking off the tour they play the New Theatre Oxford on Thursday 6th September, the New Victoria Theatre in Woking on Friday 7th September and the Regent Theatre in Stoke-on-Trent on Sunday 8th September.

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…..John Williams lifted his baton and cued one of the greatest scores in movie history.

Michael Seal and the CBSO perform John Williams’ music from all eight films.

Relive the story from The Phantom Menace to The Last Jedi…in thrilling full orchestral sound.

The CBSO have performed Star Wars music before, most notably at the Symphony Hall in Birmingham for Star Wars Night, an event I covered for StarWars.com almost three years ago.

Now just imagine if Star Wars in Concert ever made a triumphant return to concert halls around the world. We can but hope.
