With the longterm and ongoing effects of the pandemic certain to roll on for many months to come, Disney have taken measures to protect guest and cast safety, reducing capacity of the park to 35% and using Disney Park Passes to control those numbers. Now, Disney confirm that guests will need to ensure that they have have a valid theme park admission for the day they are planning on visiting the park.

Recently, Disney released confirmation that some Guests will need to take action on their My Disney Experience accounts to ensure that they have a valid theme park admission for the day they are planning on visiting the parks. In order for their Disney Park Pass to be valid, it must be associated with a ticket or Annual Pass that is valid for the same date as the park reservation:

As a reminder, the Disney Park Pass system is used by Walt Disney World Guests to make their theme park reservations, helping to manage attendance in a way that promotes physical distancing. A valid ticket or pass for the same date as the theme park reservation is required in order to make and keep a theme park reservation.

Disney also released a sample email that will be sent out to Guests whose Disney Park Passes are ineligible — as in, Guests who do not have a valid theme park ticket or Annual Pass for the date of their Disney Park Pass reservation.

Hello Best,

We noticed a change that impacts the eligibility of your theme park reservation in the Disney Park Pass System on 05/21/2021. Guests are required to have a ticket or pass valid for the same date as the park reservation and you no longer have a ticket or pass admission valid for the date of your reservation.

We wanted to make you aware that action is needed by 04/28/2021 to keep your reservation. You will need to link valid park admission to your My Disney Experience account. On 04/28/2021 your reservation will automatically be cancelled for Epcot.

From this sample email, we can see that Disney is taking Park Pass reservations seriously and that Guests who do not have valid park admission may face problems when trying to enter Walt Disney World Resort’s theme parks. Remember: You need a valid theme park ticket or Annual Pass for each day you are making a Disney Park Pass reservation, and you will still need a valid ticket in order to keep your park reservation, too.
