Our pals over at the always awesome Skywalking Through Neverland were on the ground at D23 last month and recorded this fascinating panel which allows us a closer look at the creation of Kuiil from season one of The Mandalorian with Legacy co-founder Alan Scott and puppeteers Dawn Dininger and Dave Covarrubias.

The Lucasfilm Pavilion at D23: The Ultimate Fan Event featured several discussions and presentations each day. On Sunday, August 9, 2024, Legacy Effect’s co-founder Alan Scott and puppeteers Dawn Dininger and Dave Covarrubias bring Kuiil from The Mandalorian to life. Background video and pics further show how creature performer Misty Rosas works within the costume.
