Fans are currently queuing up on Hollywood Boulevard to see ‘The Rise Of Skywalker’ and are raising funds for Starlight as they camp and wait.
Since 1999, devoted Star Wars fans have camped outside of Hollywood’s TCL Chinese Theatre – waiting in line to purchase tickets to see the latest installment of the Star Wars saga.
Since the inaugural line, those fans have formed an organization, LiningUp.net, that has raised more than $100,000 for Starlight to help deliver happiness to seriously ill children and their families.
They are doing it again this year! Leading up to the first public showing of Star Wars: Episode IX at the Chinese Theatre, they’ll be lining up from December 10 through December 19 and, while they do it, they’ll be raising funds to give happiness to hospitalized kids.
Even if you can’t make the line, you can donate and be part of the fun!
Our own Paul McQue is on site, participating in the queue and covering his experiences on Fantha Tracks Instagram throughout the event.
If you are local and can visit the queue, be sure to pop past and lend them your support and encouragement, and if you can afford to donate a little you can support Starlight from this link.
