Telford is becoming something of a hot spot for conventions, with Star Wars luminaries featuring prominently. Later this year, Ahmed Best will make a rare appearance at the International Convention Centre in the new town, but more on that nearer the time.
August 3rd sees an unusual comicon at one of Telford’s favourite visitor attractions. Hoo Farm – famous for its sheep racing and other farm animal exhibits – will be hosting Hoo Fest, its first Comic Con.
Star Wars guests include Nien Nunb puppeteer Mike Quinn, Vader helmet sculptor Brian Muir, Ewok performer Michael Henbury, Medal bearer Nick Joseph and Jedha Priest Matthew Dale.
