Garrison Tyranus Inferno Squad are holding a InfernoCon, Virtual Event on Twitch over the weekend of Friday 2nd – Sunday 4th October, raising money for Make-A-Wish. Based in Virginia, the event will comprise of a weekend of panels that look at the history of Garrison Tyranus, 3D printing for costumers, appearances by guests including 501st founder Albin Johnson and much more.
A 501st Legion virtual event is being held the first weekend in October. Here in Northern Virginia, Garrison Tyranus’ Inferno Squad is putting on InfernoCon. We’re going to be raising money for Make-A-Wish Foundation during our streams that weekend, the chosen charity of the 501st.
Here’s the list of events that await visitors to the show:
October 2 (Friday)
7 PM – 8 PM (EDT) – “Who Are We? An Introduction to Garrison Tyranus.” (Twitch)Garrison Tyranus is the 501st Legion unit that covers the Commonwealth of Virginia. The garrison was founded in June 2002 and is the 7th largest 501st Legion Garrison in the world and has over 275 active members across the state. This panel will cover information about joining, our events, and much more.
8 PM – 9 PM (EDT)- “A Joystick, a Controller, and Why Don’t TIE Fighters Have Shields? Growing Up Living Star Wars Through Games.” (Twitch)
Remember how long it took to get to a save point, and heart-pounding trench runs? So do we, and our panel will talk about the games that put Star Wars into our hands.
9 PM – 10 PM (EDT) – “That’s one from the vault.” (Twitch)
Join a few of our long-standing members as they share favorite memories and stories from the early days of the Garrison and squad.
10 PM – 12 AM (EDT) – “We would be honored if you would join us.” Cantina Night. (Zoom)
Grab your favorite beverage and join in on some casual fun. Drop in/drop out.
10 AM – 11 AM (EDT) – “Printers and Plastic: 3D Printing as a Costumer” (Twitch)A panel will share some tips about 3D printing and the joys of turning plastic into armor.
11 AM – 12 PM (EDT) – “A Force to Be Reckoned With: Women of Inferno.” (Twitch)
Inferno women will be talking about their perspective as members of the 501st Legion on a variety of topics, such as costuming and some of the unique challenges they face.
1 PM – 2 PM (EDT) – “You Are Part of the Rebel Alliance, and a Traitor! A Spirited Rebellion” (Twitch)
Our panel of Rebel Legion members will jump into talking about the unique scope and spirit of being part of the “good guys”, and how they fill an important role in the costuming world.
2 PM – 3 PM (EDT) – “Buckle up, it’s gonna be a rough ride.” (Twitch)
Join a panel as they discuss trooping during the pandemic and share their thoughts on where we are and where we’re going, followed by Q&A.
3 PM – 4 PM (EDT) “A Snap-Hiss and a Glowing Blade.” (Twitch)
Join our friends from the Saber Guild as they talk about how they use their passion for lightsabers to bring light into their communities.
4 PM – 5 PM (EDT) – “Why We Fight: The Reasons Behind Trooping.” (Twitch)
A panel will discuss some of the reasons that motivates them to troop, and will take a look at some of the positive things that have been made possible through Inferno Squad and the 501st Legion.
6 PM – 7 PM (EDT) – “Jabba has Solo on his wall, but look what I’ve got!” (Twitch)
Members will have a chance to show off their Star Wars collections so that we can all get new ideas about how to spend our money.
7 PM – 8 PM (EDT) – “Look Sir, Droids!” (Twitch)
A panel of members who build droids will talk about how it’s done, and show off some of their awesome work.
8 PM – 9 PM (EDT) – “This is Garrison Tyranus.” (Twitch)
The Garrison Commanding Officer (CO) and some of his leadership team will talk about what they do and the state of the Garrison, followed by Q&A.
9 PM – 12 AM (EDT) – “We would be honored if you would join us.” Cantina Night. (Zoom)

11 AM – 1 PM (EDT) – “Deploy the Squad for the Liberation of Sorgan” (Twitch)Livestream from the Inferno Squad photoshoot. The squad is being deployed to liberate the forested swamp planet of Sorgan located in the Outer Rim Territories. Join our stream to meet the troopers, watch as they begin their liberation effort, and get some cool pictures too.
1 PM – 3 PM (EDT) – “Raiding the Jedi Archives” (Twitch)
We will have the charity raffle drawings during this time to give our troopers time to go back to their home sector. Every $5 donation to Make-A-Wish® is one entry and we will draw a random name from the donation list to win a Star Wars collectable from the Jedi Archives.
3 PM – 4 PM (EDT) – “Punch It, Chewie!” (Twitch)
Don’t miss the final panel event that will wrap up the weekend, featuring an appearance by our special guest, 501st Legion founding member Albin Johnson.
