Diplomatically side-stepping a deep dive into the time he spent filming Solo: A Star Wars Story (“It set the stage for a lot of things that I get to do now. It’s a great platform, and there were some really great times during it. And I’m happy I get to do what I do now”) and choosing a time from his screen test as his favourite moment filming the movie (“I think that, in the early screen test, walking onto the Millennium Falcon was a huge deal. That was really awesome.”) Alden Ehrenreich makes it clear once again that he’s not averse to returning to the role of Han Solo after a stellar 2025 which so far includes Ironheart on Disney Plus and the hit horror Weapons.

“Making a movie is stressful no matter what,” he says. “Your job as an actor, in a way, is to use the energy that’s happening [around you]. And sometimes that energy involves stress, but characters are under stress. There are very few characters who are just having a ball. So it’s contributive sometimes. As long as it’s an environment where people feel safe.” As for whether he’d play Han Solo again if the call came, Ehrenreich leaves the tiniest crack of the door open to the possibility: “It would have to really, really be the right version of it.”
