Oscars 90: The Last Jedi ‘For Your Consideration’

The 2018 Academy Awards aka Oscars 90 are just a week away, with the ceremony taking place 4th March and Disney release this ‘For Your Consideration’ poster for The Last Jedi and its 4 nominations, featuring the sagas current rock star, Rey.

John Williams is nominated for his score, the 51st Oscar nomination of his storied career while ILM once again lead the VFX houses with 2 nominations, making an all time total of 61 nominations and 16 wins.

The The Last Jedi is nominated for four awards:

Best Sound Mixing: David Parker, Michael Semanick, Ren Klyce and Stuart Wilson

Best Sound Editing: Matthew Wood and Ren Klyce

Best Visual Effects: Ben Morris, Mike Mulholland, Neal Scanlan and Chris Corbould

Best Original Score: John Williams

Best luck to all concerned, including the ILM VFX team of Stephen Rosenbaum, Jeff White, Scott Benza and Mike Meinardus who are also nominated for Kong: Skull Island.
