Terribly sad news arrives today, Return of the Jedi performer and perennial convention guest Gerald Home has passed away from liver cancer. His French agent Aurelien Lukowski posted the news earlier today.

A friend to many, he took his stories around the world, attending numerous shows across the world, chatting to any and all folks about his days playing a Mon Calamarian and Squid Head in Jedi, his convention adventures and his iconic role as Mister Muscle in the popular 80’s TV advert.

We were fortunate enough to chat with Gerald numerous times over the years, from Spaceport in the Whirral in 2008 to Celebration Europe 2 in Germany in 2013, Farthest From in Fordingbridge in 2015 as well as welcoming him as our guest on the Lightsabre booth at Celebration Europe in 2007.

A real character, he will be sorely missed. Fantha Tracks send our condolences to his family, colleagues and many friends around the world.
