The Moorings bring May 4th Celebrations to the Skelligs

The community around the Skelligs in Ireland have combined to create an amazing festival of Star Wars entertainment.  Our friends at The Moorings hotel got in touch with details of the events planned.

This May bank holiday weekend there is so much to see and do here at The Moorings, Portmagee! The Star Wars legacy is being celebrated in 2018 with the first-ever May the Fourth Festival. Hop in your X-Wing Fighter and let’s fly. The “Force” is expected to be strong throughout this weekend, with this inaugural 3 day festival from the 4th to the 6th of May. During the weeknd you can enjoy drive-in movies, special film tours, coastal cruises, spectacular stargazing and Skelligh tours, a sea craft flotilla and an extraterrestrial tour.

Its the perfect weekend whether you are a committed Stormtrooper or just want a fun weekend with the family, we will be in galaxy not so far away here “Porgmagee!”.

Join us in The Moorings and The Bridge Bar throughout the weekend, where we will be serving delicious, local seafood and produce in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. So clear your calendar, set your coordinates to the Wild Atlantic Way and get ready to explore the unrivalled charm of Kerry’s villages, cultural attractions, lively pubs and gift shops on this wonderful weekend.
