Vanessa Marshall to appear at MCM Manchester Comic Con

MMC Manchester Comic Con is heading our way next month, bringing a cavalcade of guests to Manchester Central on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th July.

Joining the guest list is a star of Star Wars Rebels.

Vanessa Marshall, who starred as Hera Syndulla on much-loved animated series Star Wars Rebels, is the latest special guest to be announced for MCM Manchester.

A versatile voice actor, singer and stand-up, Vanessa played the charismatic Twi’lek captain of the Ghost in all four series of Rebels, with the strong-willed Hera keeping her ragtag crew together throughout their long war against the forces of the Empire.

Other notable animated roles include Mary Jane Watson in The Spectacular Spider-Man; Gamora in the TV adaptation of Guardians of the Galaxy; Irwin in Cartoon Network hit The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy; Black Canary in Young Justice and Renee Montoya in 2016 animated movie Batman: Bad Blood. Marshall also voiced Wonder Woman in Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths; Hela in Avengers Assemble; Batwoman in Batman: The Brave and the Bold, and Vertigo in Wolverine and the X-Men.

Meanwhile, the New York-born actor’s numerous videogame credits include Strangelove, EVA and Olga Gurlukovich in the critically-acclaimed Metal Gear Solid franchise; Poison Ivy and Catwoman in Lego Batman: The Videogame, and Jean DeWolff in Spider-Man 3.
