How unbelievably difficult it must be for Billie Lourd, to be on a Star Wars set once again with Mark Hamill, J.J. Abrams and many of the same crew and faces from The Force Awakens, but for her mother Carrie Fisher to not be there. It’s tough enough for those of us who loved Carrie from afar, but it’s wonderful to see how Billie has embraced Episode IX, given her blessing for unused footage of Carrie from The Force Awakens to be enhanced and utilised for the final chapter in the Skywalker saga. Clearly Billie feels there is some special magic in the air.

“I gotta watch myself because the Star Wars PD is going to come get me, but it is incredible. I’ve read the script and I’ve been on set. I was on set for, like, three weeks back in September, and it is going to be magical.”

“I can’t say much more, but I’m so excited about it and so grateful to be a part of it. Star Wars is my heart. I love it.”

We’re convinced that Episode IX is going to be something very, very special as well. J.J. Abrams very welcome return to the directing chair arrives in theaters worldwide on 20th December 2019.
