With Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back giving plenty of nods to the galaxy far, far away and also starring Mark Hamill as a fictional version of himself, there was no better way to emphasize the GFFA links than involving Carrie Fisher, and speaking with GQ Kevin Smith he explains how Carrie was paid for her involvement in the 2001 film.

“…when Carrie came, she said, ‘What you are going to pay me is the value of these two antique beaver chairs that I’ve had my eye on for the last month. So you guys buy me those beaver chairs, and I’ll be in the movie.’ And so we did. We bought her the beaver chairs.”
