It’s directed by the former helmsman of Episode IX, starring a director of The Mandalorian, featuring an actress from The Last Jedi, with music by Rogue One‘s Michael Giacchino based on the original score by John Williams, ILM VFX and sonics by Skywalker Sound so there’s plenty of reasons to be very interested indeed in Jurassic World 3. Inquiry 24 take a look at the hotly anticipated film which will bring to a close the second Jurassic trilogy and see a trio of returning lead characters from the first trio of films, as director Colin Trevorrow explains.

“We’d have had to come up with a reason why Ellie, Malcolm and Grant all went to the theme park on the exact same day it broke down – again. The next film allows the legacy characters to be a part of the story in an organic way. Emily Carmichael and I call it ‘Jurassic Park VI’, because it is.”

“You start asking the most basic questions: who are these people now? What do they make of the new world they’re living in, and how do they feel about being part of its history? Ultimately it will be in collaboration with the actors. They know and love these characters. We’ll do it together.”

Very interesting that he regards it as Jurassic Park VI rather than Jurassic World III. Jurassic World III / Park 6 opens 11th June 2021.
