While the Star Wars galaxy buzzes about this week’s episode of The Clone Wars – review coming imminently here on Fantha Tracks – fan discussion turns not only to the remaining three episodes, due to arrive over the next couple of weeks as we hone in on Star Wars Day on May 4th, but also on what comes next. Will we see a continuation of the era post-Revenge of the Sith as the Emperor and Vader assert their control, or perhaps another dip into the battle of the Clone Wars as missing arcs (Crystal Crisis on Utapau, Boba Fett vs. Cad Bane, Mystery Under the Jedi Temple, Yuuzhan Vong, Mon Cala etc) and tales told in other media (Dark Disciple and Son of Dathomir) are completed.
Enter this tweet, from Lucasfilm Lighting and FX supervisor Gianni Aliotti who posted this in response to a slew of complimentary tweets about the work on this ‘final’ season.
Glad to see so much love for our work in #TheCloneWars again. Keep loving them and we’ll keep making more. 🙂 And fear not, we at Lucasfilm Animation are still going strong, even during #COVID19

Again, he could be referring to further Lucasfilm animation projects or he could be (fingers crossed) hinting at more from The Clone Wars. Either way, good to know the team are well during this crisis and great times to be a Star Wars animation fan as the galaxy continues to expand.
