While all the usual suspects are nominated at the 2026 Golden Globes, it’s heartening to see that Diego Luna gets a richly deserved nomination in the Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Series – Drama category for season two of Andor (the first Star Wars actor to be nominated for a Golden Globe since Sir Alec Guiness on the 1977 original), up against some heavyweight talent in Sterling K. Brown (Paradise), Gary Oldman (Slow Horses), Mark Ruffalo (Task), Adam Scott (Severance) and Noah Wyle (The Pitt). Criminally, Luna is the lone representative of a show with an embarrasment of acting riches that deserved so much more.

We’ll find out the winners on Sunday 11th January 2026 when the Golden Globes are handed out, and remember that Diego could also be in line for an Academy Award nomination for his work in Kiss of the Spider Woman.
