It’s awards season and not only for projects on the big screen. Last night saw the 2019 Grammy Awards, and for once the world of Star Wars was represented by someone other than John Williams. Lando Calrissian aka Childish Gambino aka Donald Glover won four huge awards.

Gambino’s song This Is America became the first rap song to win Song Of The Year, while he also won Record Of The Year and Best Music Video. This Is America was co-written by Ludwig Göransson, the man behind the mega selling Black Panther soundtrack and currently working on the score for The Mandalorian, making it a double Star Wars win.

Solo: A Star Wars Story co-star Joonas Suotamo was quick to praise his smuggling colleague.
