Ewan McGregor’s daughter Esther McGregor had a cameo in the second episode of his new Disney+ series, Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Esther, 20, is seen offering Obi Wan – played by Ewan, 51, – three types of drugs which he refuses.

But she then ends up slipping a freebie into his pocket of his gown.

It’s the first time the pair have appeared on screen together.

Esther plays Tetha Grig who asks Obi Wan is he’d like some drugs.

She says: “You want some spice old man? I got Kessel pure, glitterstim, and Felucia. What do you need?”

He replies: “How about some information? I’m looking for my daughter. She was taken and she’s on this planet.”

She replies: “Well, if she’s here, you’re never gonna see her again. Nobody leave this place. I was someone’s daughter once too. Here, that one’s free. Couple more of those and you’ll forget she ever existed.”

Esther becomes the third person in her family to appear in the Star Wars franchise.  Dennis Lawson, Ewan’s uncle played Wedge Antilles in the orginal trilogy, a role he returned to in The Rise of Skywalker in 2019.  Ewan’s wife, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, will be the fourth in the family to enter the galaxy far, far away – as she has as at yet unconfirmed role in Ahsoka.
