The 2024 running of the Phoenix Fan Fusion convention last weekend saw Giancarlo Esposito  – better known in these parts as the treacherous Moff Gideon – reveal that it’s looking highly likely that he’ll be joining his fellow Mandalorian star Pedro Pascal in heading to the MCU. In addition, Esposito says the role is one that fans won’t expect.

“The MCU has knocked on my door and it’s a role you won’t predict. It will be teased and there will be a series afterwards.”

Giancarlo first teased an MCU arrival at CCXP 2024 Comic Con Experience in São Paulo, and that it would be sooner or later so that tease could well be a part of July’s Deadpool and Wolverine, leading into the series he mentioned here or possibly Captain America: Brave New World. Either way, great news that an actor of Esposito’s calibre is heading to the MCU, and let’s hope he dove into a bacta tank at the end of Mando season 3 and he’s back (either as the original or a clone) in future GFFA adventures.
