Many happy returns to Mark Hamill, who celebrates his 74th birthday today as he forges on in a career that started back in 1970 on TV in Headmaster, starring Andy Griffth and ran through roles in The Bill Cosby Show, The Partidge Family, General Hospital, The Texas Wheelers, The Streets of San Francisco and then the mega hit of a lifetime – the starring role in Star Wars in 1977, which propelled his career to even greater heights, starring roles on Broadway in The Elephant Man and Amadeus, a voice acting career without peer (most notably voicing the Joker for 28 years) and a seat on the Mount Rushmore of genre stars.
