Harrison Ford has paid his respects to his onscreen father Sean Connery, who while only being 12 years older than Ford played his father in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Their most memorable action sequence was the sidecar chase, when Henry Jr and Sr took out a handful of Nazi motorcycle riders and Ford fondly remembered the shooting of that scene.

“He was my father…not in life…but in Indy 3. You don’t know pleasure until someone pays you to take Sean Connery for a ride in the sidecar of a Russian motorcycle bouncing along a bumpy, twisty mountain trail and getting to watch him squirm. God we had fun – if he’s in heaven, I hope they have golf courses. Rest in peace dear friend.”

Listen to the freshly release Episode 61 of Making Tracks for our own small tribute to the great man.
