After months of speculation, Pedro Pascal will indeed play Reed Richards in Marvels Fantastic Four, which will hit cinemas 25th July 2025, co-starring alongside fellow Star Wars star Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Arvel Skeen in Star Wars: Andor) as Ben Grimm and British actors Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm and Joseph Quinn as her brother Johnny Storm.

Pascal was previously reported to star as Reed Richard/Mr. Fantastic, while the others had been heavily rumored in recent months. Kirby will star as Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman, while Joseph Quinn will play her brother, Johnny Storm/The Human Torch and Moss-Bachrach will star as Ben Grimm/The Thing.

The casting caps years of speculation over who might play the team. The film has a new release date of July 25, 2025 and hails from WandaVision director Matt Shakman. Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer penned draft of the script, with Avatar: The Way of Water scribe Josh Friedman working on the latest version.

Let’s hope the role isn’t too much of a stretch for Pascal given his busy schedule. What will this mean for The Mandalorian & Grogu, which reportedly goes into production in June of this year ahead of a May 2026 release? Watch this space.
