From director Gareth Edwards, Executive Producer Steven Spielberg, featuring visual effects from Industrial Light & Magic and starring Scarlett Johanson and Mahershala Ali, Jurassic World: Rebirth is set to dive deep into the world of the dinosaurs next summer as the seventh Jurassic film arrives, and Deadline bring us these images, the films official title and a summary of the movies premise as production heads to Elstree Studios next month, revitalising not only this giant of a franchise (four of the six films crossed the billion dollar barrier) but one that has numerous links to Lucasfilm and Star Wars.

Starring Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey and Mahershala Ali, Jurassic World Rebirth sees an intrepid team racing to secure DNA samples from the three most colossal creatures across land, sea and air. Five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, the planet’s ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs. Those remaining exist in isolated equatorial environments with climates resembling the one in which they once thrived. The three most colossal creatures within that tropical biosphere hold the key to a drug that will bring miraculous life-saving benefits to humankind.

Bailey plays paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis, with Ali as Zora’s most trusted team leader, Duncan Kincaid. Others in the cast include Rupert Friend as Big Pharma representative Martin Krebs and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as Reuben Delgado, the father of the shipwrecked civilian family.

Gareth Edwards (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) is directing from a script by original Jurassic Park scribe David Koepp, based on characters created by Michael Crichton. Others in the cast include Luna Blaise, David Iacono, Audrina Miranda, Philippine Velge, Bechir Sylvain and Ed Skrein.

The film is produced by Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley, a pair of longtime veterans of the franchise. Steven Spielberg, Denis L. Stewart and Jim Spencer are serving as executive producers.

Prepare to hold onto your butts once again.
