Ten years ago, when the world was celebrating the 30th anniversary of Return of the Jedi, filmmaker Kyle Newman set about to mark the occasion, and the results of his efforts was this documentary, The Return of Return of the Jedi, available to watch on the Star Wars YouTube channel. Featuring a slew of big-name stars including Kevin Smith, Seth Green, Eli Roth and more, it’s a love-letter to the original trilogy closing episode.

The Return of Return of the Jedi: Special Edition by director Kyle Newman (Fanboys) is a loving and comedic look back at the final film of the original Star Wars trilogy, Return of the Jedi, in celebration of its landmark 30th anniversary. In this special extended cut, Kevin Smith, Seth Green, Chris Hardwick, Jaime King, Topher Grace, Fall Out Boy, Eli Roth, and other famous fans recount their memories of seeing the film for the first time and share their thoughts on some of the most talked-about elements of Return of the Jedi, including the ever-controversial Ewoks and Lando’s not-so-convincing disguise in Jabba’s palace.

The film also had its own poster, designed by Paul Bateman (who don’t forget came up with the name ‘Fantha Tracks’ and designed our logo) and featuring my childhood action figures, which I shot at home following Pauls directions and then sent to him to work into the final piece.

You can hear our long-overdue catch up with Paul at Celebration Europe on our LIVE episode of Start Your Engines below.
