We’re all keen as mustard for the return of The Clone Wars later this year on Disney+ and were gutted to see the end of the excellent Timeless, but great news comes via Deadline as Matt Lanter joins the cast of Steven DeKnight’s superhero epic Jupiter’s Legacy, coming to Netflix.

Netflix has set its lead cast for Jupiter’s Legacy, the superhero epic series from Steven S. DeKnight (Marvel’s Daredevil) based on the stories by Mark Millar. Josh Duhamel (Transformers), Ben Daniels (The Crown), Leslie Bibb (Tag), Elena Kampouris (Sacred Lies\) and Andrew Horton (How to Talk to Girls at Parties) are set to star. Also cast are Timeless star Matt Lanter and Mike Wade (For the People).

Jupiter’s Legacy is among the first slate of series and movies based on the stories of Millar and based on the graphic novels of the same name by Millar and artist Frank Quitely.

The series follows the world’s first generation of superheroes who received their powers in the 1930s. Now, in present day, they are the revered elder guard, but their superpowered children struggle to live up to the legendary feats of their parents.

Lanter portrays George Hutchence (Skyfox), Sheldon Sampson’s closest friend and ally before turning against him and the rest of his teammates in The Union. Now considered the greatest supervillain in the world, George plots his revenge on the teammates he believes betrayed him.
