Michael K. Williams still wants to join the galaxy far, far away

He was originally a part of Solo: A Star Wars Story in the role eventually taken by Paul Bettany as Dryden Voss until scheduling issues derailed those plans. Speaking to Variety at last weekend’s Toronto Film Festival Michael K. Williams made it clear that he would very much like the chance to return to the Star Wars arena.

“I have not had the chance to see ‘Solo’ but shout out to my cast mates. Even though I didn’t make the final cut, they’re still my cast mates. I love you guys.”

And as for seeing the finished product.

“I’m quite sure I’ll get around to it but I’m more interested in getting another shot in being in that galaxy…I would love another opportunity to be in Star Wars.”

Let’s hope the schedules are kinder and fate doesn’t throw another directorial change in his path should a second opportunity present itself.
