Attached to the Rogue Squadron project since 2020, Patty Jenkins next film will take her to the world of LEGO and one of three Universal Pictures LEGO projects that will see Jenkins, Jake Kasdan and Joe Cornish tackle different corners of that lucrative franchise.

Universal Pictures has just announced three untitled live-action Lego movies from directors Jake Kasdan (“Jumanji”), Joe Cornish (“Attack the Block”), and Jenkins. It’s not surprising that Universal would want to milk the hell out of Lego, which is a lucrative brand, and Jenkins seems to be continuing on in her pursuit for IP-driven projects.

Jenkins’ Lego film is based on a script she wrote with former DC Entertainment President Geoff Johns (“Wonder Woman 1984”). Plot and casting details are currently being kept under wraps. It does look as though this will be Jenkins’ next film. She’s only directed three features in 20+ years.

We’ll be sure to discuss this and numerous other topics on the next episode of Making Tracks, which will land next week on Fantha Tracks Radio.
