Among the highlights are:
STAR WARS: EP V – THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK (1980) – Original Concept Design Artwork, 1980
An original concept composition artwork piece (most likely for a UK Quad) combining the artwork studies of Mike Bell (figures), Eddie Paul (Darth Vader head logo) and Ralph McQuarrie (Bespin). The detailing, including the silver logo, has been cut and pasted to a hand-painted background and individual areas of touch up. Interesting to note that two different colour tiles designs were printed for the UK Quad, silver (as shown here) and white. You can see an un-coloured title under the pasted on title logo. In a previous auction (April 22nd, 2021), as part of the FEREF Archive, we offered both Mike Bell’s (Lot ‘465) and Eddie Paul’s (Lot 464) separate designs. Although eventually unused, this study provides an incredible look at the behind the scenes processes that went into making a Star Wars poster and would be an amazing and unique piece to add to any Star Wars collection.
28.25″ x 22″ (71.75 x 56) – Artwork is 25″ x 19.25″ (63.5 x 49 cm)
Condition: Good to Very Good
STAR WARS: EP VI – RETURN OF THE JEDI (1983) – US One Sheet Poster – Undated ‘Revenge’ Teaser, 1983
A rare undated US One-Sheet teaser poster featuring Drew Struzan’s artwork for Return of the Jedi. This movie originally had the working title of Revenge of the Jedi (with teaser posters printed with this title). These were distributed in both a dated and undated versions, with undated styles (such as offered here) being much scarcer. Note: There are many reproductions and fakes of both versions, but we have carefully examined this poster, and are 100% certain that it is an original undated “Revenge of the Jedi” teaser One-Sheet that measures exactly 26 7/8″ x 41″.
26 7/8″ x 41″ (68.25 x 104 cm)
Condition: Very Good to Excellent
Unrestored, Tri-folded (as issued). Minimal handling wear with the vertical fold line being very faint.

STAR WARS: EP IV – A NEW HOPE (1977) – Poster Autographed by Carrie Fisher, Jeremy Bulloch, Dave Prowse, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker and Others, 2004

STAR WARS: EP VI – RETURN OF THE JEDI (1983) – Japanese B2 – Yamakatsu ‘Starfall’, 1983
For the third chapter of the original Star Wars trilogy Return of the Jedi, Lucasfilm successfully chose a number of internationally acclaimed artists to present a varied series of designs for the Worldwide advertising campaign. The poster here is the Yamakatsu issued Style B Japanese B2 by the prominent Star Wars artist Noriyoshi Ohrai. Titled ‘Starfall’ by the artist, this design was not an official cinema poster but was sold exclusively in a small number of Japanese cinemas where the movie was playing. Due to printing difficulties, it was only available in very limited numbers and is extremely scarce. Ohrai’s beautiful illustration is widely regarded as one of the best of any Star Wars posters.
20.25″ x 28.5″ (51 x 73 cm)
Condition: Excellent
Unrestored, flat/unfolded, rolled (as issued). Minimal handling wear.
Artist: Noriyoshi Ohrai
