Craig Miller, Director of Fan Relations for Lucasfilm from 1977–1980 and a man who worked closely with the late Gary Kurtz, remembers his friend on the sixth anniversary of his passing back on 23rd September 2018.

As the years pass and more of the original architects, craftspeople and stars of the original trilogy leave us it’s more important than ever to remember, archive and celebrate their achievements. Kurtz left an indelible mark on the GFFA, faciitating the dreamweaving of George Lucas and his fellow creatives and allowing them to create worlds while Kurtz focused on the day-to-day task of making those dreams a reality, a task that was every bit as important as scoring, directing, drawing, building or performing in the galaxy far, far away.
