While the Star Wars galaxy waits for more news on the return of Boba Fett, be it in future episodes of The Mandalorian, Ahsoka, Skeleton Crew, the Favloni movie or a second season of The Book of Boba Fett, there is one very well-connected fellow who does know the future movements of the galaxy’s greatest bounty hunter and that’s Robert Rodriguez, the director behind Fett’s own show. When asked directly about the future appearances of Fett, he’s saying nothing.
“I can’t say, I’m sworn to secrecy. I wish I could tell you. I know all the answers to what you’re asking, but I can’t say.”
While he can’t discuss the future endeavours of Fett, he’s more than happy to dip into the past and what was clearly a very special project for him.
“Everything you saw every day… it didn’t feel like you were seeing behind the scenes. It felt so real. The sets were so real. Even the volume was so real that you felt like you were in Star Wars… You know, there’s these’s things called ‘Rock Camp’ that if you want to go play with Joe Perry or something, you pay money to get on stage for two seconds with him? This is what a director would pay money to do. To have Star Wars camp. To get to direct and edit and be part of the Star Wars universe just as an experience is one of my favorite experiences because it was just a dream come true.”
It’s tough to imagine that a fan favourite character like Fett would definitely not return at some juncture, wherever that may be in the timeline, so fingers crossed one of the summer conventions reveals the next step for the daimyo of Mos Espa.
