Sandra Bullock has an offer out to join Daisy Ridley in The Ice Beneath Her, a psychological thriller based on the novel by author Camilla Grebe. The story centers around an investigator and a psychological profiler who join together to solve a truly bizarre and horrific case involving a decapitated woman who was found in the home of a noteworthy businessman.
Our source has shared with us that Sandra Bullock is the studio’s choice to play the profiler. She would be paired with a male actor who will play the investigator. Daisy Ridley, who was already announced as being attached to the project, will play the part of Emma, a young employee who works at the clothing store owned by the businessman. It seems that Emma will be a key player in the mystery and how it unfolds. The story has been compared to Gone Girl, the novel by Gillian Flynn that was adapted into a film by celebrated director David Fincher. That might give you a big clue as to exactly what might be going on in The Ice Beneath Her.
There’s no director attached yet, and again this is just a rumour, but if this came together then it would certainly be one to watch as the pairing of the Oscar winning star of Demolition Man and Gravity and the former Jedi would be fascinating.
