Star Wars Resistance Wins Saturn Award

Star Wars Resistance was named the best animated series on television at the Saturn Awards last night.

The 3D CGI animated series from Lucasfilm Animation follows pilot  Kazuda Xiono as he is recruited by the Resistance to spy on the First Order, had a stellar first season before the somewhat surprising announcement that it would finish with its second season that begins next month on Disney XD.

Creator Dave Filoni took to instagram to share a photo from the awards with the Resistance team:

 

Ashley Eckstein had the honour of presenting the award to the winner, and you can watch the presentation in the video below:
