Discussing his ever-blossoming career which in just half a decade has leapt from Hunt For the Wilderpeople, and Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok, to a stint on The Mandalorian and a second Thor adventure in Thor: Love and Thunder, Taika Waititi briefly touched on his big screen Star Wars movie, saying that he hopes it’s the next major motion picture up on his already overflowing plate.

“I don’t know if that’s going to be Star Wars, I hope it’ll be that but there’s a whole lot of other little things that I’ve got my sticky little fingers attached to so we’ll see.”

As 2022 approaches, brimming with Star Wars projects on the large and small screen and a Celebration year to boot, expect to be hearing much more about this and other projects as we move into the second half of 2021.
