Taika Watiti is following in the footsteps of fellow ‘The Mandalorian’ cast member, Werner Herzog by joining the cast of Rick And Morty.  Watiti will be among the guest stars for season four of the popular cartoon.

The director and actor from New Zealand rose to fame with the likes of What We Do In The Shadows and Thor:Ragnarok.

He’ll return to the big screen early next year with his “anti-hate satire”, Jojo Rabbit, in which he plays an imaginary friend of a young boy, and also Adolf Hitler.

His mind-bending brand of humour seems like a perfect fit for Rick and Morty, where he’ll play Glootie – a chubby, pink alien with a passion for app development.

The episode featuring Taika Watiti first aired on Adult Swim on 17th November.
