Official summary: The Mandalorian and his allies confront their enemies.
Trivia
After rescuing Din, Grogu uses the same Bacta spray on him that Din received from IG-11 in Chapter 8.
Cute detail: When tracking Din and Grogu, Moff Gideon uses a small green dot for Grogu’s position.
The Mandalorian Fleet Commander is still unnamed, but was played by Travis Parker.
R5 using his scomplink to help out Din Djarin is mirroring R2-D2 doing the same on the Death Star in A New Hope.
When R5 activates his rockets and boosts away, one of the mouse droids can be seen going over the ledge. He also has the same style of jets as R2-D2 had in Attack of the Clones.
Grogu holding back the fire and not collapsing from this effort shows how much he has grown into his powers since he held back the fire from the Incinerator trooper in Chapter 8.
Din Djarin and Din Grogu go to the New Republic base on Adelphi, which we first saw a few episodes ago in Chapter 21. The cameos of Filoni, Chow and Famuyiwa likewise return. A curious thing however is that the Showcase panel at Celebration showed a behind the scenes photo of filming this scene. In it we see Doug Chiang in a blue pilot suit among them, however we have not managed to spot him at the bar in this episode, or in Chapter 21.
Who is also seen now at the bar is Peter Ramsey, who directed Chapter 21 and will be directing episodes for Ahsoka.
And the episode ends with a circle wipe that lingers on a part of the screen, a reference to the Looney Tunes cartoons. And that’s all folks! ….Or at least for now when it comes to The Mandalorian.
