The latest issue of Blocks magazine is out now, bringing the brilliance of the brick to newsagents everywhere. This issue looks at Jurassic World, the latest James Bond Technic set and of course LEGO Star Wars 75222 Cloud City.

The latest issue of Blocks magazine travels from Isla Nublar to Cloud City via the LEGO MASTERS Build Room.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is about to arrive on home release, so it is the perfect opportunity to review the sets based on the film – as well as the classic Jurassic Park set that celebrates the original film’s 20th anniversary. To get some extra insight into these dinosaur based builds, Blocks heads to Billund to speak to one of the LEGO model designers who worked on the theme.

It is not just the big screen that is packed with tension though, as LEGO MASTERS is about to return for a second series. Blocks magazine heads to the Build Room to meet the new contestants and find out what LEGO design supremo Matthew Ashton, new judge Fran Scott and celebrity fan Johnny Vegas can tease about the brick based television contest.

A big release like LEGO Star Wars 75222 Cloud City cannot slip by without getting some attention, with the LEGO designer responsible for the massive new model explaining how he distilled the iconic movie location into a single set. Investing expert Brickpicker also considers the new release to ask what the Master Builder Series means for those putting their money into LEGO sets.

That barely scratches the surface of what fans will find in the pages of Issue 49, with the latest Technic sets getting a critical eye cast over them and a Miniland style James Bond featured with step-by-step instructions from Q branch.

Technique shows the ways minifigure hands can be useful, Family Tree takes a look at exploration while Month in MOCs focuses on Dungeons & Dragons. Other regular features include Brick Wife, Blocks photography, Top Ten and LUG Spotlight – it is another month packed with LEGO content.
