Ahsoka Tano isn’t only on a journey through the Star Wars galaxy, she’s also a focus of the 106th issue of Blocks Magazine which will look at the various LEGO Ahsoka figures released since her very first The Clone Wars set ahead of the debut season of her very own Disney Plus show which kicks off in 24 days time.

Blocks magazine Issue 106 is full of exclusive interviews that will take you deep into the LEGO design department; the team behind DREAMZzz shows how three sets went from concept sketch to final model, Pierre Normandin explains how he recreated a classic in 10320 Eldorado Fortress and Ole Vestergaard Poulsen reveals the previously untold story of the LEGO shape system.

Issue 106 is available worldwide as part of a subscription or a single issue at blocksmag.com and will be in UK stores from August 3. Everyone who subscribes by September 6 will be in with a chance of winning LEGO DC Super Heroes Batman 76252 Batcave – Shadow Box.

LEGO DREAMZzz sets are finally here and the talented designers behind the imaginative new theme reveal how they developed the sets. It’s the perfect companion to the previous edition of Blocks (103) that looked at how the whole concept came about. This time around, you can see how the designs started as concept sketches, were developed as models, then became finished sets.

What many fans dream of is a return for LEGO Pirates – and that dream has come true with the release of 10320 Eldorado Fortress. Senior Designer Pierre Normandin explains how he captured the look of the classic set with modern techniques, adding in a few surprises along the way.

Modern builds like the new Eldorado Fortress and DREAMZzz sets wouldn’t be possible if the LEGO Group hadn’t moved beyond the standard bricks and slopes that were the norm in the 1980s. Ole Vestergaard Poulsen reveals how he and his team pushed LEGO Technic to have more form, before setting their sights on LEGO System and creating the ‘shape system’.

Epic sets are covered in the Reviews section, including the new 76252 Batcave – Shadow Box inspired by Batman Returns and 10323 PAC-MAN Arcade. A critical eye is also turned on the Disney 100 sets, including 21341 Hocus Pocus: The Sanderson Sisters’ Cottage.

Within the 116 page magazine you’ll also find a look back at Ahsoka’s LEGO Star Wars minifigure journey, a Town Flight retrospective, an incredible life-sized jeep build and much more.
