With the imminent release of his long-awaited follow up to Rogue One Gareth Edwards, director of The Creator spoke with Screen Rant at San Diego Comic-Con and revealed that he has yet to see any episodes of Andor – or indeed any of the Disney Plus projects – but is clear that they are in very safe hands.

“Okay, full disclosure, we finished [The Creator] on Friday. I have not seen it. I have not seen any TV. I’ve not seen any of the Disney+ anything. The only thing that I’ve seen is the ILM documentary, the Light of Magic, which is a phenomenal documentary, but I haven’t had a chance. I’m sure I’ll get back to you about it, but I saw the trailer when it came out, we were shooting at Pinewood at the time, and it looked fantastic. It’s in, obviously, very great hands, and I’m excited for everybody that’s involved.”

Fantha Tracks will be covering the release and roll out of The Creator, focusing on the work of Gareth and ILM, who are clearly excited to be working on this fascinating project. We’re hoping to have the chance to catch up with Gareth when the film arrives (dependent upon the status of the ongoing Writers and SAG-AFTRA strikes) but until then check out our chat with Gareth from the first two episodes of Making Tracks over 5 years ago.
