Blocks Magazine 102 is almost here and inside you’ll find plenty to occupy your time including pirates, the LEGO Ford GT and a chat with the designers of the Clone Trooper helmet.

Aaaaargh! Captain Redbeard be gracing the cover of Blocks magazine Issue 102. Inside you’ll find exclusive instructions to build a parrot that matches the new LEGO House exclusive set’s scale and a look behind the scenes at how the model was designed.

Issue 102 is available worldwide as a single issue or as part of a subscription at blocksmag.com and will be in UK stores from April 6. Everyone who subscribes by May 3 will be in with a chance of winning Technic 42154 2022 Ford GT!

Since it opened in 2017, LEGO House has offered some great exclusives – but the new upscaled Captain Redbeard, 40504 A Minifigure Tribute, is the most desirable yet. Blocks has the inside story, a set review and exclusive instructions showing how to build an upscaled version of the classic LEGO Pirates parrot.

That’s not the only peek behind the curtain, as the LEGO Star Wars design team discusses what goes into making Clone Trooper helmets and Brickmaster Milan Reindl reveals how he carefully constructed 42154 2022 Ford GT.

Some of the best LEGO builders outside of Billund show off their prowess in the community contest known as Iron Builder. Find out everything you need to know about the ultimate LEGO challenge and see some of the incredible MOCs that have been inspired by a single unusual seed part.

If that fires up your creativity, then you can grab some bricks and build cameras for your minifigures. Simon Pickard has some great ways to combine just a few bricks for convincing equipment. If you want to tackle something on a grander scale though, Daniel Konstanski shares some great advice on the practicalities of building enormous models.

Block hasn’t forgotten that Indiana Jones is back in the brick! To get ready for the adventuring archaeologist’s return, you can read about the first time that Harrison Ford’s character became a minifigure in 2008.

That’s not all of course – learn how the LEGO Group expanded into Germany, read reviews of Rivendell and BTS Dynamite, count down the 10 best LEGO Disney sets, look back at classic 1990s Police sets and much, much more within the 116 page magazine .

For a bonus dose of Blocks magazine, 100 Incredible LEGO Builds edition celebrates the amazing creativity of LEGO builders from around the world. It is guest edited by Head of Design Matthew Ashton, with commentary provided throughout by the LEGO design team. No LEGO fan should miss it!
