More literature announcements dropped last night at San Diego Comic Con as the Star Wars: Stories from A Galaxy Far, Far Away panel revealed new books and comic series from The High Republic, The Acolyte and Star Wars: Outlaws. Earlier this week a slew of comics were announced ahead of the show, so let’s dive in to these fresh reveals.

This is the way…seeker. Justina Ireland’s new novel will explore Vernestra Rwoh’s life about 20 years prior to the events of The Acolyte, a giant leap from when we last saw the teenage prodigy in Phase III of The High Republic storytelling.

Yord and Jecki live! We have good news for members of the Yord Horde and Jecki Jam: Tessa Gratton will resurrect these fan-favorite characters for a new YA novel set in the years leading up to The Acolyte. The book arrives in July 2025.

Marvel’s The High Republic comics will continue. Cavan Scott revealed the continuation of his flagship comic series set in the golden age of the Jedi Order, returning with new issues in February 2025. In a surprise twist, The Acolyte’s Kelnacca joins Keeve Trennis and other familiar faces to form a dream team.

Get to know Kelnacca. But first, Cavan Scott will pen a Kelnacca one-shot for Marvel. During the panel, fans were treated to this first look inside the pages of the previously-announced comic as well as several variant covers.

Always two there are. For fans hungry for even more concept art, The Art of Star Wars: The High Republic (Volume II) has been revealed from Abrams with this cover featuring young Vernestra Rwoh, Avar Kriss, and Bell Zettifar armored up and ready to fight a looming Nameless threat! A companion to the original concept art book covering the multimedia initiative, the new book by Kristin Baver explores Phase II and Phase III art with foreword by Vernestra Rwoh herself, The Acolyte’s Rebecca Henderson, arrives later this year.

Even more art from The Acolyte. And arriving next year, The Art of The Acolyte will join the bestselling series of Abrams books based on Star Wars productions, taking us behind the scenes with concept art, costume designs, creature illustrations, and more! Written by Kristin Baver with a foreword by series creator Leslye Headland, the book arrives next July.

Step inside Star Wars Outlaws. Following the tradition of Dark Horse art books that delve into the designs behind beloved video games like Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, The Art of Star Wars Outlaws will explore the distinct locations and new underworld characters from the first-ever open-world Star Wars game set between Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.

A new visual guide has been announced. And Lucasfilm’s Pablo Hidalgo returns next year with The Acolyte Visual Guide from DK, filled with full-color photographs and new fun facts about your favorite new characters, ships, tech, and locations from the series.

Vernestra Rwoh is a Jedi of action. Also revealed during the panel, a new Vernestra Rwoh action figure joins Hasbro’s The Black Series with a sculpt to match her appearance in live action from The Acolyte.
