Sundays special episode of Making Tracks will not only catch up with ILM Visual Effects Supervisor Hal Hickel to discuss the current state of VFX at ILM, but also delve into the earliest days of the company with Production Supervisor Rose Duignan, who joins us for the first time and remembers some golden days, as well as some missed opportunities for the galaxy’s leading visual effects company.

“I remember one time expanding into non friends of George. Somebody wanted us to do Spaceballs, or something, and I agreed and said ‘let’s set up a night crew, let’s do it all on our Macs, we can do this.’ And I was overruled by the executive committee, because I was ambitious and I thought ‘let’s hire more people.”

To hear our full interview with Rose, tune in to Making Tracks this Sunday for a special episode celebrating Light & Magic on Fantha Tracks Radio, and to tide you over here’s Tuesdays 147th episode of Making Tracks.
