Rest in peace Ken Colley, Admiral Piett

Sad news reaches us today as we hear via our frends at Alliance Agents that the much-admired actor Kenneth Colley, best known as Admiral Firmus Piett in The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, passed away on 30th June. He was 87. In addition to his time in the Star Wars galaay, Colley was also known for his work on Jabberwocky and Monty Python’s Life of Brian, as well as numerous roles in film and TV including The Sweeney, Ripping Yarns, Pennies From heaven, War and Remembrance and Inspector Morse.

Our depest condolences to his family, friends, colleagues and many fans across the fandom, to whom he was an ever-present and steady presense across the years.
