In what can only be described as a successful weekends business, Rogue One has entered the all-time top ten list of IMAX movies with a million dollars at the US box office this weekend, adding to its existing $532,177,324 domestic gross and a global total of $1,056,057,273. That sees it sit proudly in the all-time domestic chart at 15, just 2 million behind The Dark Knight and on the all-time global list at number 40, one of just 50 movies to break the billion (5 of which are Star Wars films).

On the inflation adjusted chart it sits at 60 with $566,337,792, just ahead of the 2019 Lion King and behind The Towering Inferno. Box Office Mojo have that equating to 60,441,600 bums on seats in North America, a number swelled even more by this weekends turnout.

Disney re-released Rogue One: A Star Wars Story in 250 domestic IMAX theaters this weekend, as the studio builds towards the upcoming streaming series Andor. The film, originally released in 2016 to positive reviews and box office success, grossed $1 million in ticket sales over the weekend, pushing its lifetime IMAX haul to $105 million. Rogue One is now among the top 10 highest-grossing films released in the premium format.
