Star Wars Andor: Could we be looking at a three season Cassian adventure?

Adriano Goldman, director of photography Rogue One prequel series Star Wars: Andor, has appeared to confirm that the hotly anticipated show will be running for three seasons. Speaking in Portuguese on a Brazilian TV show, he claimed the show – initially set to be five seasons according to him – would instead run for a trio of seasons.

“The series I worked on was supposed to be five seasons long, but I think it’s not happening. It will have three, maybe.”

Maybe‘, which could indicate more than three…or less. Production on season two is said to be happening later this year, and with the first season reportedly containing a dozen episodes, perhaps there’s been a shift towards a more traditional Disney Plus season length of seven or eight episodes to give the show longevity, or a realisation that the story can be told in fewer episodes? Unknown, but either way we’re scant weeks away from Celebration Anaheim and a slew of panels that are sure to shed more light on this and other shows, so stay tuned.

Hats off to Andor News for the translation, and for spotting the interview.
