As wintery temperatures hit the UK, so too does the announcement that Return of the Jedi alumni Mike Quinn is releasing a charity single, a version of ‘A Winter’s Tale‘.

Coming this Friday to Bandcamp, the Nien Numb actor and Muppets performer is singing vocals on this now classic holiday song made famous by David Essex in 1983 and written by Mike Batt (of Wombles fame, amongst many things)and West End Legend Sir Tim Rice. The single is produced by Lancashire synth pop act Graflex, and all funds raised go to St. Catherine’s Hospice also in Lancashire.

And for those of you that are wondering whether Mike can carry a tune, look no further than his lockdown video with our old friends Blues Harvest, where he takes the lead on the Pink Floyd classic ‘Comfortably Numb’ (what else!)

Fantha Tracks caught up with Mike at the recent Wales Comic Con, so stay tuned to our Making Tracks for full audio of us catching up with Mike, as well as the many other Star Wars guests in attendance, and download the single at Bandcamp from this Friday.
