Friend of the site and all-round top bloke Brian Sims brings us images and info from LEGO Star Wars Days #BuildTheForce weekend’

Two years ago, Star Wars contributor James Floyd invited me to my first Star Wars event at the Legoland California Resort and it quickly became one of my favorites places in Southern California to get my Star Wars fix.

Today Legoland kicked off the first of two LEGO Star Wars Days #BuildTheForce weekends for 2018.

With an outpouring of support from the 501st, Rebel Legion, R2 Builders, Saber Guild and Mandalorian Mercs this event has become a highlight for Star Wars fans and Lego builders.

Events included:

Family Build Challenge

Miniland Scavenger Hunt

Star Wars Costume Contest

Character Meet & Greets

Droid Hunt with Costumed Fan Group

WB Games Family Gamespace featuring LEGO® Star Warsvideo games

  • Use The Force blindfold challenge – Compete in pairs as one team member is blindfolded, and the other describes to them how to build a mystery LEGO Star Wars object!
  • Landspeeder Build & Test – How would you design your Landspeeder to maximize its velocity? Build it here and then race it against everyone else’s…and if you don’t win, build and test a new one!
  • LEGO Star Wars Fan Gallery – Check out impressive LEGO Star Wars models and photography created by fans just like you!
  • Speed Build Competition – Spectate as LEGO Star Wars fans race against each other to build a LEGO Star Wars scene…who will win?
  • LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures – Catch special screenings of season two of LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures, at LEGO Star Wars Days only!
  • LEGO Star Wars Days exclusive giveaways! – Young Jedi… be sure to pick up your collectibles on the Model Shop Rooftop while supplies last.
