BEWARE SPOILERS: Just like with the previous Disney Plus series, Fantha Tracks will be offering our own episode guide for your entertainment! Here we will post every reference, Easter egg, everything named and unnamed per episode and some fun trivia in-between that we have spotted.
Episode 4: Aldhani
Official summary: Out of options, Cassian is recruited for a dangerous mission to infiltrate an Imperial garrison.
Trivia
Once again, the title screen is accompanied by a different theme.
In Episode 2: That Would Be Me we mentioned the Fondor Droid Mod, and this episode confirms that the entire ship comes from Fondor. They are flying in a modified Fondor Haulcraft
Alliance, Sep(aratist), guerrilla, Partisan Front – a history drop of factions going against the current leadership of the galaxy. The last one is a nod to Saw Gerrera, who will be coming in the series in future episodes.
Andor fought in Mimban when he was 16. This brings him close, or at the same time, that Han Solo fought on Miimban in Solo, which was 5 years before this series. Andor lies and says he fought for two years, which is entirely plausible as this world was in a near constant state of war ever since the Clone Wars.
Dedra Meero walks to her place of work on Coruscant: The Imperial Security Bureau. A very well-known institution, this is the first time that we get to see their headquarters.
Dedra shares her name with that of a character from the youth novel Jedi Apprentice Special Edition: The Followers.
Supervisor Grandi, Major Partagaz, Supervisor Lagret, Lieutenant Supervisor Blevin, Supervisor Lonni Jung from the ISB are all new characters.
Arvala-Six is mentioned, a mining world. Arvala-7 was where Kuiil made his home in The Mandalorian.
The Abrion Sector is a sector of the Outer Rim Territories which contains the Rishi System that includes Scarif. This sector first appeared in The Last Command, but can be seen also in Attack of The Clones (Obi-Wan looking at the map) and Rogue One (Scarif).
Cassian chooses the name Clem of his adoptive father to be used during this mission.
As a down payment he gets a Kuati Signet, made out of a blue kyber crystal. We all know by now what a kyber crystal is. Kuat is where the Imperial Fleet is being built.
“Celebrates the uprising against the Rakatan invaders.” The Rakata, and their Infinite Empire, where first introduced in Knights of the Old Republic. Their attempt to invade Kuat is new, and did not even happen in Legends.
Alarin, Myo, Nari are languages that Luthen says Cassian can speak. These are all new as languages, and two of them already are character names: Myo is the Abyssin in the Mos Eisley Cantina, and Nari we saw recently as the Jedi that the Inquisitors killed on Tatooine in Obi-Wan Kenobi.
In Dedra’s office you can spot a bonsai wroshyr tree from Kashyyyk.
Another Saw name drop comes at the camp when Arvel Skeen scolds Karis Nemik for being asleep on sentry duty. He also mentions a Mossy, but that one is new.
A very obscure reference is made with Telgordo Travel. This travel company was established way back by West End Games for the Gamemaster Kit’s adventure Going My Way? as part of The Bissillirus Campaign.
Telgordo Travel, which offers shuttle services between Coruscant, Hosnian Prime, Plexis and Eufornis Major. Hosnian Prime of course we saw getting destroyed in The Force Awakens. It was meant to be Coruscant but became its own world instead. Plexis also comes from WEG (Galaxy Guide 10: Bounty Hunters) and Eufornis Major was first mentioned in Servants of the Empire: Rebel in the Ranks, a Jason Fry junior novel.
In Legends Mon Mothma had a son (Jobin) and daughter (Lieda), but their father was never identified. Now in the canon we at least have the father identified as Perrin Fertha, who was played by the actor Alastair Mackenzie.
Among Vel’s group is a man named Gorn. The Gorn are an alien species from Star Trek.
Perrin Fertha mentions that the governor of Hanna is coming. Hanna City is the capital of Chandrila. Other guests include Sly Moore (the Umbaran woman seen in the Prequels) and Ars Dangor. That last name has an interesting history of being one of Palpatine’s most important advisors, and someone who may have appeared in a Return of the Jedi behind the scenes image. That image came with vague wording, so Ars Dangor was technically never seen.
Thanks to Alban Leloup’s eagle eyes we have a partial translation of the seating plan. Except for Ars Dangor, Sly Moore, Mon Mothma and her husband, the names seen are that of people involved in the production as an easter egg.
Annoyed as Mon Mothma is, she mentions that they should invite some people from Ghorman, see how fun they are. This is a reference to one of the Empire’s greatest atrocities: the Ghorman massacre. This slaughter of many peaceful protestors against taxation was one of the elements that made the jump from Legends into canon. It appears that the actual massacre has yet to happen, but the unrest leading to the protestors is already growing.
Sev Tok is a planet in the Mid Rim first appearing in Star Wars Adventure Journal 9.
