As excitement builds towards the release of The Book of Boba Fett, Topps UK bring us this lavish release looking back at the first two season of The Mandalorian, a series which of course includes a hefty and very relevant does of Fett related content. Topps UK very kindly sent us a selection from this set, which includes starter packs, multipacks and more besides.
Star Wars Mandalorian Trading cards celebrates Seasons 1 and 2 of the hit show and features 231 cards in the collection. With ‘Concept Art’ cards, ‘Comic Covers’, ‘Tools of the Bounty Hunter’ plus many more categories there are also 6 Topps Crystal cards to collect plus 25 Mandalorian Character cards with parallels! Look out for Ultra-rare Autograph cards inside lucky packets plus guaranteed parallels inside the Starter Pack, Premium Box and Multipack.

To give a flavour of what we had in-hand, we’ve posted images of the sets sent to us alongside the Topps promothional images. First off there’s the separate packs which feature Grogu, Boba Fett, Ahsoka and of course Din Djarin himself, with each packet containing 10 cards. The card stock is crisp and firm unlike some previous releases, perhaps an indicator of how highly regarded the show is by Lucasfilm and Topps. Good card stock always adds to the longevity of the sets; after all, we’re in this for the long haul.
The starter pack holds the binder, the covers and 20 cards and guarantees 2 premium parallel cards, so for collectors kicking off their set this is the one to go for before delving into further purchases, which would first aim you towards the Multipacks which hold 38 cards per pack plus those 2 parallels.
The Starter Pack contains 20 cards including 2 guaranteed premium parallel cards, a 16 page collector guide plus binder with covers.
There’s always the option of the Premium box which contains 100 cards, including 6 of the parallel cards. For someone keen to display such releases, this really is a handsome box and one that sits very well with similar Topps US releases.

All in all there are 231 cards in the set, covering the first 2 seasons of the show and while that’s a hefty amount of cards to be hunting down, there’s always the thrill of the chase, something lacking in these easy-to-find internet days that harkens right back to the earliest days of Star Wars collecting when most collecting targets were myth, hearsay or stumbled upon by luck.
I’ll be making a point of grabbing these cards as and when I see them, just to recreate some of that thrill-inducing 70’s buzz.
