Krystina Arielle was the host last night at the 2024 running of the Concept Art Awards and Lucasfilm legend Doug Chiang received the Lifetime Achievement Award, following in the footsteps of such luminaries as Ralph McQuarrie, Jean “Moebius” Giraud, Syd Mead, Ron Cobb and Iain McCaig. Joining in with the ceremony was none other than George Lucas, who sent a message via video congratulating Doug.
Tonight I hosted the Concept Art Awards where Doug Chiang received a Lifetime Achievement award. Nothing could have prepared me for a wild George Lucas appearing (via video message) to congratulate him. A much deserved award for an incomparable Star Wars titan pic.twitter.com/45y9uBVbqP
